Is BPA safe?
No one knows. Well, no one agrees. And I am sick of it. Are you kidding me? There are studies concluding it is safe and studies concluding that it contributes to obesity, neurological problems, heart disease, etc. and the sides can't agree. With the increase in obesity and these other issues, why keep arguing.
I'll tell you why, because the manufacturers of BPS don't want to loose that revenue. It's just like the tobacco industry. In a few years we will be watching a block-buster movie on how the chemical industry covered up conclusive studies complete with "top-secret" emails and texts.
Why wait? Stop consuming products made with BPA. Buy dried beans instead of canned or frozen corn instead of canned, fresh tomatoes or products stored in BPA-free containers. If enough of us stop buying products with BPA, those companies will have to stop using it. Of course then we risk the possibility that they will replace it with another chemical that also causes problems. Maybe the organic, tree-hugger, anti-processed food fanatics are right. I guess we'll know in a few years when they are all here but the convenience loving population isn't.
None of this even begins to highlight the government's role in the delay. That's a whole other story. One you might want to look into for yourself before the next election.
